Moscow (Sanaa)—— Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Firas Kadour stressed the depth and importance of cooperation between Syria and the Russian Federation in various fields, especially in the energy sector.
Minister Kadour, meeting with Russian Energy Minister Zveliyev in Moscow, expressed gratitude to the Russian leadership, government and people for their support to Syria, noting that the two countries have reached an unprecedented level of cooperation in implementing the Syrian nuclear deal, in accordance with the President’s directives.
Kadur noted that the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources is working to rebuild the infrastructure in the field of oil product extraction, transportation and refining that was destroyed by terrorist organizations.
Russian Energy Minister Zverev said that the Russian side is implementing the agreement previously signed with the Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources, using modern technologies and the experience of Russian enterprises in cooperation with Syria in the extraction and refining of oil and gas, noting that Moscow is in this field, and he stressed his intention to continue to develop and strengthen cooperation with Damascus.
