A cocktail party ended with a Moroccan being killed by his compatriot in Italy

At midnight the day before yesterday, Saturday, a 29-year-old Italian Moroccan resident, RS, was murdered by a compatriot in Piazza “Matteotti” in the municipality of “Nogara”, in the province of Verona, located in the north of the country, according to Italian media reports.

In the details of the case, the same source stated that last Saturday night the Moroccan victim spent in several nightclubs with a group of Moroccan citizens, then they went to the entrance of a building in “Piazza Matteotti”, where they sat and drank beer while arguing, which ended in a quarrel in which one of the men broke a beer bottle and hit the victim in the neck with it, causing him to bleed to death on the spot.

The media said the suspect is also a Moroccan, 34 years old, who works in the Italian agricultural sector and has a regular residence permit in Italy, noting that “a witness saw the incident and informed the police, who came to the same location with the paramedics but were unable to save the victim, while the suspect returned home and was arrested at dawn that day.”
