Libreville, Sunday, August 25, 2024 (Infos Gabon) – To coincide with its official launch throughout the country, the new airline Fly Gabon will start flights on August 31, 2024, but the destination is not further revealed, according to an official press release.
Furthermore, it will offer travel to all provinces of the country, with the aim not only to improve travel for citizens but, above all, to stimulate economic exchange. “The creation of Air Gabon is a real source of pride for our country, after the disappearance of Air Gabon a few years ago,” said Nyl Moret Mba, General Manager of Afrijet.
He continued: “This launch marks a major renewal of the aviation sector for Fly Gabon, as soon as the airport infrastructure is modernized we will serve Gabon’s nine provinces and will participate strongly in the efforts of liberalization, while developing a pricing policy that will help to cope with the high cost of living.
In fact, the creation of Fly Gabon has reconfigured the air transport landscape in Gabon, and there is no doubt that the country has acquired a large part of the capital of Afrijet Airways through this new airline, which will now operate under two brands. These include Fly Gabon for domestic connections and Afrijet for regional flights.
It is noteworthy that Fly Gabon will eventually serve all provinces of Gabon and launch an attractive price range, hoping to become part of the government’s strategy aimed at revitalizing Gabon’s air transport industry and significantly enhance connectivity across the territory.
Fly Gabon aims to achieve several goals and offers an attractive price range, especially for students and middle-income families, as follows: 10% discount on round trip for families of at least 5 people (including 2 adults and 3 children), and an additional 20% discount for children.
Students and high school students: 15% discount on round trip tickets. Fly Gabon said it was also offering one-way introductory promotional prices for flights connecting to Port-Gentil (70,800 CFA francs), Oyem (79,800 CFA francs), Franceville (97,000 CFA francs).
The new Fly Gabon tickets will be available for sale from August 17, 2024, and Afrijet and Fly Gabon agents can also book the inaugural flight on August 31.
