The fire department announced Sunday evening that a “brief but intense extreme weather event” struck the town of Olper on Saturday night. “Based on current information, it was most likely a tornado.”
According to the fire department, most of the damage occurred in the corridor of Attendorn, which is about 250 meters wide. There was serious damage to buildings, covered roofs and flying objects. Many trees were also uprooted. The fire brigade carried out more than 60 missions in total. It is understood that there were no casualties in the accident.
