In the past, young people married earlier, even before reaching adulthood, it was a different time. That’s how Ibrahim Velić (70), a grandfather from Bjelašnica, got married at the age of 16 and spent many wonderful years with the person of his choice. They had children, and later six grandchildren, and he also had great-grandchildren – those two.
“I remember when I got married, she was also at the party that day, we looked at each other for a while, then sat down, and that’s how we started having fun. I met her twice, and after the second time I took her to the house,” said Deka Ibrahim, Alan Avdic reports.
At first it was not difficult for him to go to her, to Lukomir, a three-hour walk from his village, but as his grandfather said, he was young at that time and nothing was difficult.
Unfortunately, 20 years ago, Ibrahim lost his wife, so in order not to be alone, he started hanging out with a woman from a big company and started traveling around Bosnia and Herzegovina with her. However, it didn’t take long before he was alone again.
“It was four or five years ago. A man said to me, I have a cousin, why don’t you meet her. I took the number, we met and at the end of the conversation she asked me if I had a car and I told her I did and that the ‘cipelung’ was about 1,000 marks, about 300-400 marks,” the nice man recalled with a smile on his face.
Soon, she called the relative to ask which car it was, and she discovered the truth – Ibrahim didn’t have a car and he was playing a trick on her.
“She wanted to walk, drink water, go out, run to the seaside, and that’s where love failed,” Deka Ibrahim said, adding that he was interested in the farm and herding cattle.
Deka Ibrahim is a locksmith who worked in factories all his life before moving on to making wrought iron doors. Today, he lives in a modern house in his hometown, according to the report.Then“.
