The dinner hosted by presidential candidate Mr Dilith Jayaweera has been suspended by the Election Department.
Today at a famous hotel in Anuradhapura, the banquet was prepared for the guests attending the academic conference chaired by Mr. Dilith Jayaweera.
Based on a complaint received by the Anuradhapura Election Commissioner’s office, a team of policemen along with police personnel came to the hotel and sealed the food prepared for the party at the hotel.
The bottles of wine originally intended for the guests were also seized by the police.
