About 100,000 people have been displaced over the past two days by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attack on the Deir el-Balah area in the central Gaza Strip, Wafa news agency reported, citing local sources.

In view of the imminent new offensive against Khan Yunis, the Hebrew Army issued a new eviction order for the above-mentioned areas this Saturday, urging the residents of Masdar, Magazi, Harat Basatin, Ansar, Dimissa, Safa, and Sidra to leave these places “for your safety.”

According to the Deir el-Balah city council, over the past two days, due to continued heavy Israeli air strikes, about 100,000 Palestinians have been displaced from the eastern part of the city, and the 20 reception centers there are completely unable to function.

Gaza authorities have condemned the continued further shrinkage of the so-called “humanitarian zone” — which has not been immune to IDF bombing — to less than 9.5 percent of the enclave’s total area at the start of this week.

Report

The Gaza Health Ministry reported that at least 37 people in other parts of Khan Younis had fallen victim to Israeli attacks in the past 24 hours, including four children and an equal number of women, bringing the total death toll since October 7 to 40,334.
