The Saudi Authority for Certified Appraisers (Taqeem) calls on all individuals currently practicing the profession of precious metals and gemstones appraisal to take advantage of the statutory period granted to them to rectify their situation by meeting all regulatory requirements for the practice of precious metals appraisal and ending on July 1, 2025 AD, obtaining membership of the Authority and obtaining a professional license to practice precious metals and gemstones appraisal in accordance with the Law on the Appraisal of Precious Metals and Gemstones on July 1, 2026 AD. “Taqeem” implements the provisions of the regulation. Saad Al-Baiz, the official spokesperson of “Taqeem”, explained that this step belongs to a package of corrective measures aimed at regulating practices, controlling the quality of the appraisal industry in the Kingdom, ensuring that regulations provide accurate, fair and reliable appraisal services, enhancing confidence and transparency in the precious metals and gemstones market, and protecting the rights of beneficiaries, stressing that “Taqeem” constantly strives to improve the quality level of the services provided and align them with the best practices of international cooperation in the field, enhance the capabilities and skills of its workers and provide them with the necessary support.
