Young Kevin Ronaldo Cruz drowned on Saturday afternoon in the La Naranjita pool, 25 kilometers northeast of the city of Esteli.
It is not yet clear what the circumstances of the death were. His body was discovered by volunteer firefighters after being alerted to the incident.
The deceased currently lives near Miguel Ramos in the city of Estelí, where his family and friends will take care of him.
