Libreville, Saturday, August 24, 2024 (Gabon News) – The transitional president took this decision last Friday in light of the adverse situation prevailing at the Gabon Energy and Water Company (SEEG).
SEEG is going through a difficult period, with reports of fraud, hacking of computer systems and water and power outages. This situation affects both the public, who can only cry, and economic operators. If it is not the houses or public roads that are plunged into darkness, it is the economic activities that are affected by the power outages.
Faced with SEEG’s chaotic management and repeated power outages, General Blaise Clotel Origi Nguema took out the whip and went after those responsible for the unpatriotic drama. “All those who have committed harmful acts will be brought to justice,” he promised.
To this end, we will conduct a rigorous audit to identify the dysfunctions affecting the company, including IT security violations, suspected fraud, and controversial decisions made by SEEG’s current management.
The President of the Republic explained that the working group will not only identify those responsible for these misconducts, but will also propose concrete solutions to correct the situation in SEEG.
Please note that the approach of the Transition President is part of a clear desire to achieve transparency and restore trust within this important entity of the country. SEEG is the only company that provides public services of drinking water and electricity throughout the country.
