Moroccan judo champion Mustafa Abdelaoui says the president of the Royal Moroccan Judo Federation treated him unfairly because he was denied participation in the last African Championships despite being the Moroccan champion of the sport.
Abdul-Rawi said in a statement to Albula:I am the Moroccan Judo Champion and was excluded from the African Championships 16 times by the university president.“.
He continued:I called the president to ask about it but he hung up on me, I tried to contact him again but it didn’t work. The president fought with me and excluded me from all the competitions“.
He added:Before the African Championships, I told the university that I was going to compete for the gold medal and that after a while I would be excluded from participating so as not to reach this goal and qualify for the Paris Olympics.“.
He continued:There is a serious corruption problem at the Judo University. This coach has no international coaching certificate and is not a Moroccan champion, but he was appointed as a coach to accompany the champion to the Olympics.“.
He concluded:I have been subjected to a lot of injustice and contempt and now I am a tomato seller and I want to send a message to His Majesty the King that I have been subjected to injustice by these people and I have been deprived of participating in the African Championships even though I am the champion of Morocco.“.
It is worth noting that Mustafa Abdulawi won many medals and championships, the most important of which are the Moroccan Championships 16 times, the African Championships 2 medals, the Arab Judo Championships 6 medals.
