Case of a car with federal blue license plate 80A – 019.72 football On November 29, Vietnam (VFF) caused an accident on the streets of Hanoi and then fled. According to this, the driver of the vehicle that caused the accident was Mr. Mai Minh Thai (born in 1968, living in Hanoi).
A rapid alcohol concentration test after the accident showed that Mr. Tai showed signs of drunkenness, with a measurement result of 0.071 mg/L of exhaled breath.
According to the Vietnam Football Association, after obtaining preliminary information on the incident, on the morning of November 28, the VFF decided to temporarily suspend the above-mentioned driver from working for a period of 10 days, including reporting, explaining and waiting for consideration and processing from November 28.
The VFF also assigned officers to coordinate with the traffic police department – Hanoi City Police Department to resolve the incident. The Vietnam Football Federation respects and supports the serious handling of violations in accordance with the law.
The VFF added that according to the Vietnam Football Association’s regulations, all vehicles of the Football Association can only be used for appropriate work when assigned by the responsible person and must not be used for private purposes. The drivers of the Federation are responsible for strictly complying with road traffic regulations when participating in traffic.
Earlier, on the evening of November 27, a male driver in his 50s driving a car with a green license plate number 80A-019.72 collided with two girls riding a motorcycle when he was driving from Pham Hung Street to Le Van Luong to Lang Ha Street.
After the accident, the car with the blue license plate 80A-019.72 did not stop but continued to drive towards Long Street. When it arrived in front of the US Embassy, the car stopped.
Immediately, the U.S. Embassy security took out warning signs and placed them at both ends, and asked the driver of the blue license plate BKS 80A-019.72 to get out of the car to ensure safety.
Police then showed up and, along with U.S. Embassy security, took the driver to the local police headquarters.
