Upcoming vocal and piano recitals will bring exquisite classical music melodies to the Strovolos Municipal Theatre in Nicosia. On September 10, the Contes a la Belle Etoile recital, organized by Ledra Music Soloists and the French Academy of Sip, will celebrate the lives and music of two renowned European musicians and put the spotlight on two Cypriot musicians.
Young soprano Constantina Nikolaou and pianist Nicolaes Constantinou will take to the stage to mark the 200th anniversary of the birth of Austrian composer Anton Bruckner and the 100th anniversary of the death of French composer Gabriel Fauré. Constantina will make her Cyprus debut with this recital, offering the audience a unique opportunity to enjoy her voice, with masterpieces by these two composers, but also works by Franz Schubert and Claude Debussy.
In May 2024, she made her debut at the Gärtnerplatztheater in Munich as Frau Frutte in the opera The Merry Wives of WindsorHer future engagements include concerts in Vienna and Cyprus with the Cyprus Youth National Orchestra. The evening will also feature a solo piano performance by Steinway Artist Nicholas Constantino, who is known for impressing audiences with his bold repertoire choices.
