Jennifer Lopez files for divorce from Ben Affleck

TMZ reported: “‘Love Don’t Cost a Thing’ singer Jennifer Lopez has filed divorce papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

The couple got married in a lavish ceremony in Georgia two years ago and exchanged vows for the first time in July 2022 at a wedding chapel in Las Vegas.

Spokespeople for Lopez and Affleck did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

In the early 2000s, the couple, known as Bennifer, became the center of celebrity attention with their luxury cars and a large 6.1-carat pink diamond engagement ring.

In 2003, they abruptly called off their wedding and separated a few months later.

Just five months after separating from Affleck in 2004, Lopez married her third husband, Latin singer Marc Anthony.

Affleck, the Oscar-winning director and star of “Argo,” was married to and later divorced actress Jennifer Garner.

Lopez and Affleck began dating again in 2021, a few months after Lopez called off her engagement to baseball star Alex Rodriguez and ended their four-year relationship.

Lopez later said that her first breakup with Affleck “was the biggest heartbreak of my life.”

“Honestly, I felt like I was dying,” she added in a November 2022 interview with Apple Music, “but now, 20 years later, it has a happy ending.”
