Ron: Canada has no moral standing to question Venezuelan institutions and people

Carlos Ron, deputy minister for North America, noted on Friday that Canada has no moral grounds to oppose state institutions nor the great democratic will of the Venezuelan people.

The lawmaker noted in his Telegram channel that the Canadian government has “no basis nor morality to question Venezuela’s institutions or the democratic will of its people.” “They will run dry,” he said.

He said Canada’s “dwarf empire” was the only government in 2018 to ban Venezuelans from voting in its embassy.
He explained that the country also has a history of genocide against the first peoples in that part of the continent.

Likewise, Rowan said the Canadian government cannot disguise its colonialist claims on Haiti, “its Nazi salute to Ukraine and its role as a bellwether for the United States in the failed Lima Group.”

Ron said some governments in the region allied with the U.S. government attacked Venezuelan institutions after last Sunday’s (July 28) presidential election.

It will be recalled that last Thursday the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court approved the electoral victory of the President of the Republic Nicolás Maduro, which is why the right-wing government insists on attacking the country.

Earlier, the Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement rejecting the establishment of a new group of governments in the Americas that violated the country’s sovereignty and independence.
