When these two teams met in round six, neither was winless and destined to finish in the bottom four once again.
Four months later, Norths still sit bottom of the table, while Hawthorn have booked their place in the final and look as good as any of the teams out there.

The Eagles were dominant that season, their tactics simple yet difficult to stop.
Win the ball in the middle and send it forward, either scoring from the primary entry or from the repeat entry.
Their centre-backs, led by James Sicily and Josh Weddle, constantly got the ball back inside 50 metres, and their small forwards of Nick Watson, Jack Ginnivan and Connor Macdonald were a constant threat to their opponents.
North kept pressing lightly and conceded a couple of goals. Yes, they had a few men out, including Harry Hizer, Griffin Logue and Charlie Combon, but it was a major step backwards for Alastair Clarkson’s men.
My only interest in the second half was the final score and whether or not the Eagles would suffer any injuries heading into the final.
