Ukraine is eagerly awaiting weapons and equipment that have been announced and approved but not yet delivered, the president said in his daily video appeal to the Ukrainian people on Friday. He did not name any specific countries.
– The President said that on the front line, we fight with grenades and equipment, instead of using words like “tomorrow” or “soon”.
Just a few days ago, Zelensky stressed the need for quick delivery of excellent equipment and ammunition, adding that war does not take holidays and does not respect them.
Most of Ukraine’s military equipment comes from the United States, but Britain, Germany and France also contribute.
President Joe Biden spoke with President Zelensky on Friday to announce that the United States will provide Ukraine with new weapons packages. Biden reiterated the United States’ firm support for the Ukrainian people in their fight against Russia, the White House reported.
The latest aid package will include air defense systems, anti-drone equipment, anti-missile defense systems and ammunition.
