By order of King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, Prince Moulay Hassan, the Meritorious Prince, received on Friday at the Royal Palace in Tetouan the children of Maqdessi who participated in the 15th Summer Camp organized by Bayt Mal Al Agency – Al-Quds Acharif.
This move strengthens the agency’s actions dedicated to supporting the holy city and its inhabitants through projects that have a significant impact on Maqdessis, especially women, children and people in difficult circumstances.
This edition, named Yacoub Al-Mansour Almohade, was organized from August 9 to 26 and, like previous events, benefited 50 maqdessis children (girls and boys) aged between 11 and 14, accompanied by five supervisors, also from the holy city.
The 15th edition of the event included educational trips, competitions, activities and leisure activities, as well as cultural visits with Moroccan children. On this occasion, the children of Makdesis presented the Crown Prince with a souvenir.
The Crown Prince then took a group photo with the Makdesi children and their mentors who were attending the summer camp. The attendees were then invited to a reception hosted by King Mohammed VI and hosted by Moulay Hassan.
Since its launch in 2008, the summer camp program of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif institution has benefited 750 children from different communities in the holy city, accompanied by 75 supervisors who visited different regions of Morocco to observe the strength of popular solidarity towards Palestinians.
In addition to organizing summer camps in Morocco, Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency also launched a summer school program in the Holy City in early August, benefiting 4,000 children from 17 schools and clubs in the Holy City, as well as from different communities and villages in the governorate.
