An Israeli attack in southern Lebanon today killed at least seven people, including a child, according to the Lebanese News Agency (NNA) and security sources in the country.

Lebanese security sources told Reuters that an Israeli drone struck a house in the town of Aita Jabal, killing a Hezbollah fighter and a 7-year-old child. For its part, the pro-Iranian group announced that its fighter Mohammad Nazim had been killed in the attack.

Earlier, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that three people were killed in an Israeli attack on the city of Tel Hafa. Two Hezbollah members were also killed in the Israeli attack, one in Etalon and one in Meszabar.

The Israeli Armed Forces (IDF) confirmed that they had launched an attack on the above-mentioned location and stressed that “Hezbollah terrorists were killed in southern Lebanon.”

Since the war between Israel and Hamas broke out on October 7, there have been almost daily hostilities between the Israeli army and Lebanon’s Hezbollah, which supports the Palestinian Islamist movement.

According to AFP, about 600 people were killed in Lebanon during this period, mainly Hezbollah fighters, but also at least 131 civilians.

According to Israeli authorities, 23 soldiers and 26 civilians were killed in Israel and the occupied Syrian Golan Heights.
