Ethiopia bans import of fuel-powered cars to diplomatic missions

Diplomatic missions and international organizations in Ethiopia have been banned from importing fuel-powered vehicles.

The Ministry of External Affairs, in its letter to them, urged these entities to import only electric vehicles.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ambassador Nebiyu Tedela said the move was part of the government’s decision to block the entry of fuel-powered vehicles.
