Ecological activists in Shymkent cleaned the banks of the Grand Canal. Plastic bottles were removed from the underpasses and the water flow was regulated. In addition, dead trees were cut down and rotten grass was burned in the city.

– We are working with the administrations of the regions. We have received recommendations from those people that we need to clean this area. Much cleaner than before. Now, if we continue to do these works systematically, I think it will bring results.
The ruins near the “Glory Square” and the Bukarzhila monument in the village of Botakala in the Bukarzhila district of the Karaganda region have been cleared, and the borders and fences have been painted. About 100 volunteers took part in the cleaning activity.
