The Football Association announced that it has signed a contract with Spaniard Jose Lana to serve as technical director of the Syrian national team.
Born in 1975, Jose Lana has a European professional certificate and led the Spanish national team to defeat France to win the European Youth Championship this summer.
He made 24 appearances for the Spanish U-19 national team, achieving 18 wins, 5 draws and 1 loss, and during his reign he scored 59 goals and conceded 12 goals for the national team.
It is worth noting that former head coach Hector Cuper tendered his resignation after our national team failed to advance to the third round of World Cup qualifying.
