The lifeless body of Ms. María Elena Rivera, 75, was found sitting in a chair in an annex building in the Francisco Meza neighborhood, near the Bol traffic light and one block from the lake, this afternoon.
“I noticed the door was unlocked, which I thought was strange because she always locked it, so I went in and found her dead on the patio,” said her daughter, Ana Lacayo Rivera.
Lacayo Rivera added that when they searched the house where his mother and her dog lived, they did not find her purse where she kept her money and other items.
They immediately alerted the national police authorities, who sent an investigation team to the scene.
There are currently no signs of violence on the deceased’s body, but her body has been transferred to the Forensic Institute to determine the exact cause of her death.
