The National Blood Transfusion Service said: “We are asking for donations to ensure hospitals have enough blood in stock for patients who need it. All blood types are needed.
The service is once again encouraging Gozo people to continue to attend donation drives to help patients in need get the blood they need in a timely manner.
NBTS also said it has updated its donor eligibility guidelines to remove restrictions on several medications. For more information on donor eligibility, call 22066201 or 79307307, or toll-free 80074313.
The next meeting in Gozo will be, Sunday, August 25, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.at the Xewkija Community Clinic.
“As always, we thank you very much for your cooperation and generosity,” the service said.
The centre is located at the Xewkija Community Clinic in Triq tall-Hamrija, between the primary school and the Bocci Club.

• Bring your Maltese ID card, driving license or passport.
• Drink some water and eat a snack before donating.
• Wear loose clothing/sleeves.
