A managing director of a government agency may be charged early next week…

NASSAU | For nearly a week, The Bahamas News has been trying to find clues to the mysterious murder of a man found in the waters off Clifton near the abandoned Stewart Bay building west of New Providence. Finally, our sources have confirmed the identity of the victim.

Philip Adderley, 36, The man was found on Thursday afternoon. The head and feet were tied up, and the body was stabbed multiple times. It was described as a crime of passion.

So far, detectives from the Royal Bahamas Police Force have conducted in-depth investigations into the home of the Managing Director (MD) of a government agency and seized the MD’s government-registered vehicle.

The MD is one of two persons of high concern to detectives and we believe that between now and early next week he will be charged in relation to the incident. The MD’s office has not yet issued any statement on the development.

The Bahamas News Agency can confirm that blood was found in the government-registered vehicle issued to the Ministry of Health, which was likely fitted with a GPS tracking device to monitor the vehicle’s movement between the home and the location near where the body was found.

The police have been tight-lipped about MD’s cooperation. However, we at BP have in-depth intelligence from the ongoing investigation that police have gone to the crime scene three times to collect evidence. We can tell you that a second suspect in this murder case is being tracked.
