According to the National Statistics Office, the increase was due to a 24.6% increase in the average monthly net salary paid per employee in financial and insurance activities, administrative and auxiliary service activities, and public administration and defence; compulsory social insurance accounted for 19.6%.
Compared with the previous month, financial and insurance activities, wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles increased by 5.4%, and administrative and auxiliary service activities increased by 4.5%.
In June 2024, the average total monthly salary paid to each employee was 62,964 Macedonian denarii, 15.1% higher than in June 2023.
The increase was due to a 24.9% increase in the average gross monthly wages paid per employee in the financial and insurance activities, administrative and auxiliary service activities, public administration and defence sectors; compulsory social insurance accounted for 19.9%.
Compared with the previous month, financial activities and insurance activities, wholesale trade and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles accounted for 5%, and administrative and auxiliary service activities accounted for 4.4%.
