At least 28 Shiite pilgrims from Pakistan travelling to Iraq have died in a car accident in central Iran, Iranian state media reported on Wednesday. The Pakistani pilgrims were travelling to Iraq to attend Ashura commemorations, one of the biggest events on the Shiite calendar and the 40th day of mourning for the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad.
