A cold front will push eastwards across central Europe from the west. Behind it, the edge of high pressure will extend from the west towards our region.
It will be cloudy to overcast during the day, with local cloud cover decreasing in the eastern part of the country in the morning. Showers, heavy rain and localized storms will gradually occur in some areas, and the intensity may be relatively strong.
It will be moist and warm across much of the Southeast.
Daily maximum temperatures will reach 23 to 28 degrees Celsius, 28 to 33 degrees Celsius in the southern part of the territory and in most of Šariš and Zemplín.
This is according to the current forecasts of SHMÚ meteorologists.
The temperature in mountainous areas at an altitude of 1,500 meters will be around 16 degrees Celsius and will gradually cool down.
Northwest to north winds between 3 and 10 m/s (10 and 35 km/h), with occasional gusts around 15 m/s (55 km/h).
