More than 122,000 people have been evacuated from the border region of Kursk Oblast, Russia. The deputy director of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, Artyom Sharov, announced this at a press conference at the headquarters of the operation.
“Since the start of the evacuation measures, more than 122,000 people have been transferred from nine border regions to other places,” Sharov said, according to TASS. About 500 people were evacuated from the danger zone in one day.
