On Wednesday, August 28, 2024, the Caribbean Netherlands Population Survey will organize an open day at Fundashon Mariadal on the topic of breast and cervical cancer screening. Are you between 30 and 75 years old and have not yet participated in the Population Survey? Do you have any questions or doubts? Then come to our open day at Fundashon Mariadal.

Our healthcare professionals are available between 8:00am and 2:00pm and will be happy to talk to you about screening, the health benefits, the importance of getting involved and the screening process. Women aged between 50 and 75 can have a mammogram (breast x-ray) immediately or by appointment. Women aged between 30 and 60 can also choose to have a smear test by appointment at a GP surgery.
The breast cancer screening programme will run from May 2021 and is available to women aged 50 to 75. From November 2022, women aged 30 to 60 will be able to take part in the cervical cancer screening programme. In recent years, around 3,000 women have taken part in the screening.
Do you have questions or want to share your experience? Come to an Open Day!
