The assessment was conducted within the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP), a common framework recognised by Australian government agencies for assessing a vendor’s security posture.
David Irecki, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Asia Pacific and Japan at Boomi, said: “As the temperature of the security environment in Australia rises, it is more important than ever to maintain the rigorous standards of data protection and cybersecurity set out in the IRAP framework, particularly as cross-agency and global collaboration becomes even more necessary to mitigate risk.”
“Boomi’s achievement of an IRAP assessment further solidifies our commitment to providing the highest levels of security and data protection to Australian organisations, particularly those in the government and critical infrastructure sectors. This achievement highlights our commitment to meeting the rigorous requirements of handling sensitive information, particularly at a time when governments face increasing local and global threats,” said Chief Information and Security Officer Carl Siva.
The Protected level assessment recognizes Boomi’s ability to provide comprehensive security controls in the system design and operational efficiency of its Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS). Newly assessed platform services include Managed Cloud Services, B2B/EDI Management, and Event Flow, with Integration, API Management, DataHub, and Flow Workflow Management reassessed as “Effective.”
Boomi has a strong security posture for storing, processing and communicating information, which not only meets the strict requirements of the Australian Government’s IRAP framework, but also allows government agencies to purchase any Boomi Enterprise Platform service without having to complete their own independent assessment, saving time and resources for public sector professionals. In addition, it supports commercial promotion, and many Australian companies regard IRAP as the gold standard for cloud security.
