The University of Sharjah has announced the start of accepting students for the latest academic programme offered in the next academic year, the “Master of Science in Medical Diagnostic Imaging – (MSc-MDI)” programme, which was recently approved by the University of Sharjah This is an academic programme offered by the College of Health Sciences and is designed to…meet the growing demand for experts in the field of Medical Diagnostic Imaging.

Dr. Hamid Majoul Al Nuaimi, President of the University of Sharjah, said that the university is following a clear strategic plan to offer new courses every year, especially those related to the field of health and medicine. The dean stressed that the program embodies this. Universities play a social role by understanding the current and future needs of society, and that the most important of these needs is to offer academic and professional courses that meet the needs of the labor market in this important field, as it has great significance in preparing a strong workforce of service and healthcare providers, capable of dealing with the health crises that the world sometimes faces.

Dr. Muhammad Alam El-Din, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, added that the Master of Science in Medical Diagnostic Imaging focuses on three important axes in the field of healthcare and medical diagnostics, namely Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Ultrasound Imaging (US), and the course content is committed to developing the expertise of students and professionals, in addition to supporting and equipping students with the necessary skills to excel in the competitive global market.

He said the lectures will be conducted in a flexible manner to help practitioners already in the hospital to register for the programme depending on the nature of their work, adding that the programme consists of compulsory and optional lectures.
