Today, August 20, a fire broke out in Yerevan. At about 3:40 p.m., the National 9.11 Crisis Management Center of the Rescue Bureau of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia received an alarm that a fire broke out in the cotton factory located at 16/4 Isakov Avenue. According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reporting from the scene, the fire was visible hundreds of meters away and the smoke was visible several kilometers away.
