He died of a serious illness at the age of 43.
The death was reported by the Christian Union party and Veronika Remišová (Slovak Movement, People’s Movement, KÚ).
Povazan studied law and political science at Comenius University in Bratislava, where he received his doctorate. Michal Povazan emerged as the second candidate of the Christian Union in the European Parliament elections in June.
Prior to that, he made a name for himself as an assistant to Anna Záborská, a member of parliament and also the party’s chairperson.
