The annual baby naming ceremony is attended by many people from all over the country and abroad, including many celebrities.

Tourism is one of the sources of income for Rwandans, especially those living in Volcanoes National Park in Musanze region, as they receive 10% of the Volcanoes Park’s revenue from tourism and use it for development activities.

Rwanda is expected to receive more than 1.4 million tourists in 2023, increasing the industry’s revenue to $620 million from $500 million in 2022.

Compared to other tourist attractions, the volcano park is the main source of income.

The private sector in the Musanze region is also ready to welcome them, which is one of the reasons for the improvement of its economy. In the region, especially in Kinigi and Nyange districts, it is one of the places where the hotel infrastructure continues to grow, providing employment opportunities for many people in different jobs.

Besides the geese that attract many tourists, Volcanoes National Park is also home to other animals including elephants, buffalo, deer, birds and various other animals.

The baby goose naming campaign was first launched in 2005.
