A fundraiser launched to provide financial assistance to the family of a UK rioter has caused uproar.
Dominic Capaldi, 34, was jailed for 34 months on Wednesday after he was caught on video throwing objects at police officers in Bristol’s Castle Park. He was part of an angry mob that took to the streets after receiving false information that three little girls had been murdered at a dance class in Southport. Capaldi also targeted police officers who tried to stop protesters from entering the Mercure Hotel, which is being used to house asylum seekers.
The series was started by a family friend. Tristan Tate, the brother of self-confessed misogynist Andrew Tate, also donated $2,500 to Capaldi’s family.
