Aamdou Sèye, president of the Senegalese Volleyball Federation (FSVB), has been named as the new president of the African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) Region II, replacing Gambian Bai Dodou Jallow.
The elections took place this weekend during the Districts Congress in Marrakech, Morocco. According to the CAVB Statutes, the Districts Congress is held before the CAVB Election Congress. District 2, composed of 7 members, organized the election of the new District President.
Senegalese Amadou Saye was elected as the successor to Gambia’s Bai Doudou Jallow. The election was held in a warm atmosphere under the leadership of Ms. Bouchra Hajij and the Electoral Commission. CAVB Region II includes Senegal, Gambia, Mali, Cape Verde, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mauritania and Sierra Leone.
