NOUAKCHOT, 2nd August, 2024 (WAM) — Representative President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al NahyanMinister of State Sheikh Shahbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan attended the inauguration ceremony of Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, who won the presidential election and was re-elected President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
Sheikh Shahbut bin Nahyan conveyed President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubaiand His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, congratulated President Ghazouani and wished his country and people greater progress and prosperity.
Furthermore, Sheikh Shahbout bin Nahyan affirmed the deep relations between the two countries, stressing the UAE leadership’s eagerness to consolidate bilateral ties and cooperation in various fields to serve the interests of both countries and their peoples.
President Ghazouani extended greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and wished further development and strength to the Government and people of the UAE.
President Ghazouani spoke highly of the close relations between the two countries, stressing their unwavering commitment to strengthening such relations for the common good. He also stressed that the relations between the UAE and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania are constantly evolving, which is in the interests of both sides and for the well-being of both countries.
