August Teachers Summit held in Almaty

“Digital Kazakhstan: Education in a New Era”. Teachers from Almaty gathered at the summit in August to discuss this topic. At the meeting, they exchanged views on issues such as managing digital trends, digital literacy, artificial intelligence and digital teachers. In total, about 25,000 teachers teach in secondary schools in Almaty.

It is impossible to imagine the field of education without digital technologies. New trends are making the work of teachers much easier. For example, now there is no need to spend hours checking notebooks as before. Artificial intelligence will do it in seconds.

Aigul Kasymbek, head of the Bostandyk region’s education department:

– Now we can not imagine the field of education without digital systems. For example, AI checks notebooks, identifies errors in control work, and assigns prices. The teacher can spend time improving his knowledge. The possibilities of AI are endless.

“Teachers in Almaty are ready to implement the digital teacher project. “This will help the child receive additional education and improve his progress.”

Aigul Ishangaliyeva, English teacher:

– Perform project work. On the basis of this, the child practices speaking. In addition, he does not just listen to the teacher. He is a real native speaker who listens.

The “Light Portfolio” project was successfully implemented in Almaty through the TopIQ.kz platform. With the arrival of digital textbooks, school bags have also become lighter. Future plans are very extensive.

Dauren Sagingaliev, Director of the Center for Scientific Methods of New Technologies:

– We share the idea of ​​our colleagues in Singapore. We recently reached an agreement with Saudi Arabia to introduce this AI platform. They will pilot their AI platform for free in three schools in Almaty.

In addition, at the initiative of Mayor Yerbolat Dosayev, a special 12-week training program for web application developers in the field of artificial intelligence will be launched at the beginning of this academic year.
