FREEPORT | Yet another man has died at sea, this time in the island community of Grand Bahama.
A search and rescue effort involving police, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force and residents of Grand Bahama has ended after a missing jet ski operator was found unconscious on Saturday, June 8, 2024.
According to initial reports, a local crew member involved in the search for missing jet ski driver Dishon Russell found the unconscious 25-year-old man about half a mile off the coast of Coral Beach around 9:20 a.m.
Russell went missing around 5pm on Friday, June 7, 2024, when he encountered waves while operating a jet ski that caused it to capsize.
The body was taken to a local hospital where an autopsy will be performed to determine
The exact cause of death is still under investigation.
