The former US president went on to confirm the coup led by his deputy Kamala Harris against his current successor Joe Biden, and considered former President Barack Obama to be the current de facto president of the United States.
In a speech to supporters as part of his campaign for the upcoming US election, the Republican candidate challenged rival Harris’ legitimacy as the Democratic presidential candidate, describing Biden’s withdrawal from the election as a “coup against the president of the United States.”
He added: “Have you heard of Barack Hussein Obama? Some people believe he is currently ruling the country.”
Trump previously testified that the Democrats “performed a coup in the country” when President Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race and endorsed the candidacy of Vice President Kamala Harris.
“They’re staging a coup against the president of the United States, telling him you have to quit,” he said in an interview with Fox News.
It can be said that Trump’s repeated statements about launching a coup against Biden, facing the current vice president of the United States who doubted his eligibility for re-election as the US president, are somewhat worrying. Harris suddenly replaced him with the support of the Democratic Party in his bid for the White House.
