The Fijian Elections Office has received resignation letters from all founding and executive members of the FijiFirst party.
Fiji Live It cited an email response from Supervisor of Elections Ana Mataiciwa to Fiji First in which she acknowledged receiving the letter from Fiji First.
The officials are party leader Voreqe Bainimarama, founder and former general secretary Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, founder Sailesh Kumar, president Ratu Joji Satakala, vice president Adi Selai Adimaitoga, vice president Ravindran Kumaran, treasurer Hem Chand and acting general secretary Faiyaz Koya.
Their resignation letters were hand-delivered to the office of the Registrar of Political Parties, Ana Mataiciwa, this morning.
Fiji Live Acting Secretary General Faiyaz Koya, who is currently in court, is still being contacted.
We also tried to obtain a copy of the resignation letter and confirmation from the Registrar of Political Parties.
