Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, the Honourable Philip Braff Davis, arrived in Santo Domingo on Thursday afternoon to attend today’s inauguration of the President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Rodolfo Abinader, which marked his re-election to a second term.
The Prime Minister, who will return to the Bahamas on Saturday morning, said the relationship between the two countries is important: trade, investment and tourism continue to grow.
Joining other Caribbean leaders at the meeting were Surinamese President Chan Santoki, Guyana President Irfaan Ali and Belizean Prime Minister John Briceno.
