Nassau | The Bahamas News Service reports that Dr. Fint Hiller died on Thursday, leaving behind his wife and children.
As an ophthalmologist, the optometrist was renowned for his ability to see inside the retina with a new technology called Optomap, which could detect any abnormalities that could be warning signs of retinal detachment or other disease, including common medical conditions not easily associated with eye problems; changing the world of eye exams and the treatment of vision-related diseases.
He is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University, is licensed in the Bahamas, and is a member of the American Optometric Association.
We extend our deepest condolences to his wife, Deborah, and three children, including his parents-in-law, Archbishop Drexel and Carol Gomez.
May he rest in peace.
