I promise you that I will give up my life, health and carefree life, and here I am, unjustly imprisoned – Mikhail Saakashvili’s speech was read at the Congress of the “United National Movement”.

The letter talks about the promises the third president made to the public.

I am Mikheil Saakashvili and I always fulfill my promises – writes Mikheil Saakashvili.

As Saakashvili explained, on the one hand there was freedom, security and wealth in Europe and America, and on the other there was slavery and poverty.

My proud, strong people, who love their country so much, the time has come for freedom, victory and the implementation of our plans.

The choice has never been clearer than it is today – freedom, security and wealth with Europe and the United States on the one hand, and slavery, poverty and living in fear with Russia on the other.

On one side is our unity, which binds all of Georgia into a fist, and on the other side is hatred for the Georgian dream, confrontation and a divided, empty Georgia.

On one side is a government that cares about family issues and on the other side are the criminal corrupt families of the Georgian Dream who enrich themselves at the expense of the people.

The problems are many, but not insurmountable. I am Mikheil Saakashvili, and I always keep my promises.

I promised you a Georgia without corruption and crime, and I defeated corruption and crime. I promised you an order for talent and merit. For 20 years, young Georgians did not know what it meant to go to university, they did not know how to submit to injustice, and that is why they fought so selflessly for the future of Europe.

I promised you Georgia reforms in Europe so we got visa-free travel and free trade, I promised you rapid economic and infrastructure development, the economy grew nearly five times in dollar terms during my presidency, cities were renewed, roads were built, lights came up, and more was built than in the previous decades combined.

I promise you that I will give you my life, my health, and my safe living, and I am right here, beside you, in the midst of unjust imprisonment.
