Today, gasoline containing 10% alcohol and diesel biofuels containing 7% petroleum (including sorghum) are part of the effort to reduce emissions from transportation. But how much is the engine coded? Experts have long warned that cars produced before 2000 and 2005 could pose a risk, and the idea is to choose gasoline and diesel based on the biosloka at the gas station.

Michal Vojtek, an internationally recognized expert on internal combustion engine emissions, scientist and professor from BUT and Liberec University of Technology, said that biofuels can easily become problematic if the quality of the fuel or its storage is not up to standard and compliant.

Lidovky.cz: How do you deal with biofuels, which currently contain fuel at pumping stations and are a relatively new means of transport?
New engines, that is, almost all engines in this century, should be prepared to use some kind of biofuel, in our case this means 10% biodiesel and up to 10% ethanol. In the United States, gasoline contains 15% ethanol; diesel is not good, how is the situation there. Gasoline automatically contains ethanol, while diesel in the United States contains 0 to 20% Biosloka or ist biosloka.
