Queen Victoria School continued its steadfast march towards the goal of defending the Vodafone Dean’s U18 title with a hard-fought 17-11 win over Ratu Navura College in the second semi-final at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva today.
Defender Nathan Stephens played a key role, kicking three penalties early in the game.
Before halftime, Ratu Navula responded with a touchdown and a penalty to reduce the deficit to 9-8.
The second half of the game was extremely intense, with both teams competing fiercely.
Ratu Navula scored another penalty, but QVS clinched the win with a Stevens touchdown and another penalty kick, and will play the final against Nasinu Secondary School next Saturday.
