The Fiji Hotels and Tourism Association (FHTA) is pleased to announce the renewal of its Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Fiji Airways.
The previous MOU, which expired on July 31, 2023, has been extended and renewed until December 2025. This renewed partnership represents a significant strengthening of the collaboration between our two organizations.
Under the updated MoU, Fiji Airways will offer discounts to assist all FHTA members to attend international tourism roadshows and trade events. In return for the airfare discounts, Fiji Airways will receive similar benefits from hotel partners that are classified as active FHTA members.
Previously open only to FHTA’s active members, including hotels, resorts, and dive and marine operators, the MOU has been expanded to include all FHTA members. This expansion underscores FHTA’s commitment to providing greater value and support to all members.
FHTA Chief Executive Officer, Ms Fantasha Lockington said: “The renewal of the MOU with Fiji Airways is a pivotal moment for our Association and the tourism industry as a whole. By offering the benefits of this agreement to all our members, we are furthering our commitment to supporting all aspects of the industry. We eagerly look forward to continuing to work with Fiji Airways and identifying new opportunities to drive the industry forward.”
Fiji Airways CEO and Managing Director Andre Viljoen said: “Our renewed MoU with Tourism Fiji strengthens our partnership and delivers valuable benefits to all members. We are pleased to be strengthening our collaboration and continue to contribute to the growth of Fiji’s tourism industry.”
The renewed MoU will provide Tourism Fiji members with more opportunities for collaboration, promotional activities and mutual support. The agreement aims to leverage the combined strengths of Tourism Fiji and Fiji Airways to promote tourism and ultimately contribute to the growth, resilience and global competitiveness of Fiji’s tourism industry.
