Almaty police reported that the accident occurred along the Kerey-Zhanibek Khandar route, the road leading to the city from Medeu.
“The accident occurred last night in Medeu district when a Nissan car was travelling north along Kerey-Zhanibek Khandar Street when it lost control of the steering wheel, hit an obstacle and overturned, causing casualties,” the police report said.
Officers from the Meedu district police station began investigating the accident.
