The new autumn season has arrived and with it various cultural events, but before we look for new impressions, we would like to remind you of the wonderful exhibitions of spring and summer that are about to close.
The “Cēsis 2024” festival will run until August 24 and includes several exhibitions. One of them is an exhibition of contemporary visual art from the non-existent museum collection “Sava pasaule” at the Cēsis Center for Contemporary Art building in the Reina district (Pļavas Street 10).
The exhibition is organized by the Latvian National Art Museum (LNMM) and was created taking into account the still non-existent Museum of Contemporary Art, the consequences of its non-existence and the collections that have been transferred to the Latvian National Art Museum for storage. Through the exhibition, you can get acquainted with the art works that will be in the future museum collection. Among them are artists such as Miks Mitrēvics, Laila Pakalniņa, Ojārs Pētersons, Kaspars Podnieks, Mārtiņš Ratniks, Rasa Šmite, Raitis Šmits, Krišs Salmanis, Linda Vēber, Armands Zelčs, as well as the outstanding pioneer of Serbian conceptual art, Braco Dimitrijevičs.
